FOSTERING A RESPECTFUL, PROFESSIONAL & INCLUSIVE CREATOR COMMUNITY
Nexaura Academy (operated by Nexaura Studios) is dedicated to empowering video editors, motion designers, sound creators, colorists, and filmmakers worldwide. These Community Guidelines govern your participation across all interactive spaces on our platform, including asset reviews, lesson discussions, direct messaging, asset request boards, and our official Discord community. We enforce a zero-tolerance policy against toxicity, harassment, piracy, and abusive behavior.
By accessing Nexaura Academy, publishing comments or product reviews, communicating via our student messaging tools, or joining our official community channels, you acknowledge and agree to comply with these Community Guidelines & Code of Conduct, our Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy.

Minors under 18 years of age are strictly prohibited from creating accounts, posting reviews, communicating in direct messages, or joining our Discord community. Any account discovered to belong to or be operated by a minor will be immediately suspended and removed from all community channels.
3. Core Standards of Creative Conduct
We expect every member of the Nexaura community to uphold the following principles of creative professionalism:
Constructive Peer Feedback
When reviewing project cuts, color grades, or sound mixes, focus on specific, actionable technical suggestions. Critique the work, not the artist. Demeaning, mocking, or condescending remarks have no place here.
Knowledge Sharing & No Gatekeeping
Whether sharing render optimization tips, LUT utility tricks, or audio curve settings, we cultivate a generous learning culture where experienced pros support aspiring creators.
Authenticity & Honest Reviews
Product reviews and star ratings must reflect genuine, firsthand experience with our digital assets. Coordinated review-bombing, fraudulent praise, and competitor disparagement are strictly prohibited.
Professional Courtesy in DMs
Treat direct messaging as a professional creative workspace. Respect colleagues' time, maintain conversational boundaries, and honor requests to cease communication immediately.
4. Strictly Prohibited Conduct (Zero-Tolerance Rules)

5. Specific Guidelines by Interactive Feature
A. Asset Reviews & Star Ratings
Customer reviews help fellow filmmakers make informed decisions. When publishing a review:
- You must have genuinely acquired and utilized the asset in your workflow.
- Reviews must address product quality, format compatibility, and usability (e.g., color rendition, render speed, audio fidelity).
- Extortionate reviews ("give me a refund or free pack or I will rate 1 star") violate our policy and will be permanently removed, and may lead to account review under our Terms of Service.
- Profanity, vulgarity, or personal attacks against asset creators are strictly prohibited.
B. Direct Student / Creator Messaging (In-App Chat)
Direct messaging provides a safe space for creative collaboration and portfolio feedback:
- Do not send unsolicited cold sales pitches, freelance hire demands, or promotional spam to members who have not invited such contact.
- If a recipient asks you to stop messaging them, you must cease all communication immediately.
- Direct messaging conversations are subject to safety reporting; users who receive abusive or non-consensual messages can flag them directly to community moderators.
C. Course & Lesson Discussions
Course comment sections are reserved for educational inquiry:
- Keep discussions focused on the lesson topic, editing workflow, software techniques, or exercise files.
- Do not post full answers, unauthorized project bypasses, or external pirated links in discussion threads.
- Search existing lesson comments before asking repetitive questions to maintain an organized resource for all students.
D. Official Discord Server Rules
Our official Discord server features channel-specific standards:
#critique-corner: Post only original video or audio works created by you. Include context regarding your software, grading goals, and specific questions you want feedback on.#client-jobs-gigs: Only legitimate paid freelance opportunities may be posted. Posts must clearly state project scope, delivery timeline, and fair compensation. Unpaid speculative work ("spec work"), profit-share scams, or misleading gig listings will be deleted immediately.#software-help: Specify your operating system, software version (Premiere, DaVinci, FCPX, etc.), hardware specs, and reproducible steps when seeking technical troubleshooting.#beta-asset-drops: Free community drops are licensed for individual creator use under our Licensing Agreement. Re-uploading or packaging beta drops for external distribution is strictly forbidden.
